The panel, moderated by CAMER Director Alaaddin Yanardağ, featured Retired Infantry Senior Colonel Cengiz Şeyran, Prof. Dr. Murat Ali Karavelioğlu, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeki Tan, Asst. Prof. Dr. Halit Baş, and journalist-writer Akay Aktaş as speakers.
In their speeches, the panelists emphasized that the Naval Battle of Çanakkale was a major turning point for both World and Turkish history, and that there are still many valuable lessons to be learned from this victory today. The literary, historical, political, and spiritual dimensions of the battle were also addressed.
The program concluded with the presentation of gifts and the taking of a commemorative photograph.

Our Heroic Martyrs Were Remembered on the 107th Anniversary of the Victory of Çanakkale on March 18
On the occasion of the 107th anniversary of the Çanakkale Victory, a panel titled “Çanakkale: A Legend” was held at the 15 July Martyrs Conference Hall of our university’s Karaağaç Campus.
Organized in partnership with Iğdır University and the Governorship of Iğdır, and supported by the Social History Society, the Literature Society, and the Caferism Application and Research Center (CAMER), the panel was attended by Iğdır Deputy Governor Ömer Said Karakaş, our Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Selahattin Çelebi, local protocol members, institution directors, students, and citizens.
