A panel on “Nevruz Festival in Our Culture” was organized at our university to emphasize the cultural and historical significance of Nevruz and to discuss the place of this tradition in society.
The panel was held at the 8 September Martyrs Conference Hall, Şehit Bülent Yurtseven Campus. Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Selahattin Çelebiacademic and administrative staff, local press, students, and citizens attended the panel.
Moderated by Prof. Dr. Murat Ali Kravelioğlu featured the following speakers: Asst. Prof. Dr. Türkan ArıkAssoc. Prof. Dr. Oğuz Doğan and Assoc. Prof. Dr. İsmail Abalı also participated as speakers.

During the panel, the history of the Nevruz Festival was discussed, emphasizing its origins and its impact on Turkish society.
Subsequently, the panel focused on the place and significance of Nevruz in our culture, its traditional celebration practices, and the festival’s contributions to social solidarity.
In the final part of the panel, evaluations were made on the place of Nevruz in the modern world, contemporary ways of celebrating it, and the transmission of this cultural heritage to future generations.
The panel concluded with a question-and-answer session and a musical performance following the speeches.
