The panel was held at the 8 September Martyrs Conference Hall, Şehit Bülent Yurtseven Campus. Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Selahattin Çelebiacademic and administrative staff, local press, students, and citizens attended the panel.

Moderated by Prof. Dr. Murat Ali Kravelioğlu featured the following speakers: Asst. Prof. Dr. Türkan ArıkAssoc. Prof. Dr. Oğuz Doğan and Assoc. Prof. Dr. İsmail Abalı also participated as speakers.

During the panel, the history of the Nevruz Festival was discussed, emphasizing its origins and its impact on Turkish society.

Subsequently, the panel focused on the place and significance of Nevruz in our culture, its traditional celebration practices, and the festival’s contributions to social solidarity.

In the final part of the panel, evaluations were made on the place of Nevruz in the modern world, contemporary ways of celebrating it, and the transmission of this cultural heritage to future generations.

The panel concluded with a question-and-answer session and a musical performance following the speeches.

Our university's Literature Society organized an event to contribute to our students' career development and raise awareness about entrepreneurship.

The event was attended by our University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Hakkı Alma, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Letters Prof. Dr. İbrahim Demirtaş, Head of the Turkish Language and Literature Department Prof. Dr. Murat Ali Karavelioğlu, Academic Advisor of the Literature Society Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oğuz Doğan, faculty members, and students.

Speaking at the event, President Alma provided our students with information by presenting examples from around the world regarding career development opportunities and entrepreneurship strategies. President Alma then went on to offer students important advice on the steps they should take to shape their careers.

The Head of the Turkish Language and Literature Department, Prof. Dr. Murat Ali Karavelioğlu, also emphasized the importance of students developing into well-equipped individuals in terms of career development and entrepreneurship.

Then, Associate Professor Ahmet Tan took the floor and emphasized that career planning is of vital importance in our time. He explained the points to consider when choosing a profession and the paths to personal development, using examples from his own life.

The event concluded with the presentation of certificates following the speeches.

The 6th International Congress of Social and Human Sciences, of which our university is a partner, was held in Istanbul on February 15-16, 2024.

Nearly 30 academics from countries such as Turkey, Iraq, Palestine, Kuwait, Libya, Algeria, and Sudan participated in the conference organized by Rimar Academy.

At the conference, where papers were presented and discussions held in the fields of language, literature, law, economics, art history, archaeology, history, geography, and philosophy, our University was represented by Prof. Dr. Murat Ali Karavelioğlu, Head of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature.

Karavelioğlu, honorary president of the congress, which was also supported by Mardin Artuklu University and Istanbul Gedik University, delivered a speech at the opening session of the congress, emphasizing the importance of research opportunities and interdisciplinary studies in the fields of social and human sciences.

He also shared research in the field of social and human sciences at our university.

The conference concluded after the presentation of plaques and participation certificates.
